Gold’s Gym Pasadena (Marley Station) and Glen Burnie

Gold’s has two gyms in the Glen Burnie/Pasadena area, one in Pasadena at Marley Station Mall and another in Glen Burnie on Ritchie Highway (Route 2) past 695.

Neither of these clubs are your father’s Gold’s Gym with rusty steel plates with guys on steroids lifting 150 lbs dumbbells where the members are 99% male. Both of these Gold’s Gyms are nice gyms in quality facilities (although the Glen Burnie Gold’s is in an area where you would rather not be hanging out after dark) where you can get a good workout. Because you are reading this review of Gold’s Gym on a competitor’s website,  you have to expect we will also point out the downsides. It is coming, we promise. But it is worth pointing out these are quality clubs and if you join either one, we doubt you will regret it.

But, yes, there are downsides. First, look at price. The advertised price and the actual price often differ because of the details that are left out with respect to length of the contract and the amount of the initiation fee. The initiation fee is a big deal for many people because they resent having to pay money up front for services that have not been performed. But this has been the health club model for years and Gold’s is a rather stereotypical health club.
